I have a gorgeous bathtub in my bathroom. It’s actually large enough to accommodate two bodies – although long, solo baths with some essential oils and mineral salts (and maybe a magazine to enjoy) are actually my preference. ;0
Sadly, I don’t take many baths. Up until now, I’ve been much more of a hot shower kind of gal. It’s just felt more practical (especially if I’m due to wash my hair), and it’s definitely more time efficient. But this week, my thoughts and opinions on this have changed!
I decided to make my bath a place for sacred rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. As a working mom, I haven’t been taking a lot of time and space for myself. Earlier this week I was reflecting on the things that I really require, on a regular basis, to be the very best version of myself.
What was at the tippy top of my list? Alicia time.
So I’ve made bath time a new priority in my life – even if it’s a short bath, it’s going to be the most decadent, nurturing, supportive and enlivening thing that I do, just for me. I’ll keep you posted on how it feels to be doing this for myself on a regular basis.
