INGREDIENTS
2 ripe bananas, peeled
1 apple, cored and rough chopped
2 Tbsp coconut yogurt
1 Tbsp raw almond butter
½ tsp maca powder
1 cup leafy greens of choice
1 ½ cups almond milk
1 cup purified water
(optional: ½ scoop neutral flavored protein powder, or experiment with vanilla or chocolate flavor)
DIRECTIONS
- Add bananas and apple to your blender carafe.
- Next, add the yogurt, raw almond butter, maca powder, leafy greens almond milk and purified water.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. You can add more purified water if you desire a thinner smoothie.
- Enjoy immediately!
- Stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator, Sweetness of Life Green Smoothie will keep for 48 hours.

As busy women there are times when we really require time tune into ourselves, and the sweetness of life that is all around us. It can be all too easy to reach for things that don’t really support our health, our power or our beauty to its fullest when we’re being stretched and pulled in multiple directions. I love to drink green smoothies, especially the day after a holiday celebration, because it feels good to lighten the load on my digestion and to alkalize my body after a celebratory meal. I make a double batch of this delicious smoothie so that I can drink one for breakfast and share the other with my husband (he loves this recipe!), or drink the second one after yoga or as an afternoon snack.
It’s the perfect smoothie to propel you through those low energy moments of the day without the caffeine and sugar highs and lows so many of us know are working against us. It will also satisfy any sweet tooth so you won’t be so tempted to reach for that holiday cookie tray when you need a “pick-me-up” to get you through the day.
