I love berries- adore may actually be an even better word. So I’ve been using them in my daily green smoothies and I am just enjoying them SOOO much! Here is a recipe below. I hope you enjoy these summertime green smoothies too! And just so you know, this recipe is low in sugars, too!
1 cup blackberries
1/2 cup blueberries
5-6 strawberries, stems removed
1/2 lemon, peel intact (or 1 orange, peeled, or 1 apple, cored)
6-7 red or green leaf lettuce leaves
1 rib celery, chopped
2 Tbsp coconut oil
2-3 Tbsp ground chia seeds
liquid stevia to taste (6-15 drops)
4 cups water to blend
Savor with a loved one (2 or 4 legged….) and enjoy while sipping outside! No one will ever guess there are 2+ cups of greens in this beautiful, delicious smoothie! And that’s our dog Dinga, below, drinking her smoothie too. She loves them so much, she drools when the blender runs!
