Every November I sit down and write out all of the people, events, experiences, places and things I am grateful for. I begin by looking at my year starting in January, and I go through the calendar, month by month, to revel in the beauty and love that permeates every corner of my life. It’s a simple ritual I do every year and it’s something I receive so much joy and pleasure from that I want to share it with you.
When I look back at my year and everything that has taken place, I’m always filled with a sense of awe and expansiveness. Pulling the pieces out from the year that I am grateful for really helps me to see the amazing life I am living. It also helps me to deliberately plan for and receive something even better in the years to come.
I want to invite you to create your own gratitude list and have your own experience with what a simple annual ritual like this can give to you. I leave you with my gratitude list for 2014 as a way to share my heart (and a sneak peek of my year) with you. Give yourself the gift of gratitude and notice how you feel!
