2 cups or one tummy filling serving
INGREDIENTS
½ medium cucumber, rough chopped
½ medium avocado, peeled and pit removed
1½” piece fresh ginger root (approximately 1 Tbsp)
1 Tbsp light miso
pinch cayenne pepper, if desired
1 Tbsp lemon juice
high mineral salt to taste, if desired
1 cup purified water
DIRECTIONS
- Place the cucumber, avocado, ginger and then remaining ingredients into a blender carafe and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Serve immediately.
- Stored in a sealed container in a refrigerator, Ginger, Avocado & Cucumber Bisque will keep for 24 hours.

This is a fantastic and totally filling recipe that’s a savory take on green smoothies. Why do I call it a “metabolism boosting” bisque? The fresh ginger is warming and therefore a metabolic enhancer to the body. In addition, the cucumber and avocado add alkalizing and beautifying benefits to this recipe, making it an all around must have in your green smoothie repertoire.
If you choose to add the cayenne pepper, know that you are adding blood cleansing properties to this dish. And if you are “soy sensitive” don’t worry! My favorite brand of miso is by “South River”.
They make their delicious misos from garbanzo beans, adzuki beans, and other protein rich awesome foods. They taste totally delicious and won’t cause any problems if soy is not your friend. You can simply Google “South River Miso” to purchase it online, or ask your local health food store to carry it for you.
Enjoy this delicious creamy bisque for lunch or a light dinner. It will give your metabolism a boost and fill your tummy with yummy goodness all at once. Bon appetite!
