When I was in the thick of my own personal health crisis my main focus was on my physical health – eating the “right” things, drinking enough water, taking supplements to support my body, sleeping enough – you get the picture.
In my very fragile and wrecked condition, I did my best to focus only on the physical nourishment my body needed to heal. And then, once my physical health began to stabilize and improve, I was able see and feel where I needed to nourish myself above and beyond my physical body alone.
There were other aspects of my life that were begging for attention and elevation. And once I started attending to those, my health improved again, and again… and again. Piece by piece and step by step, I put myself back together again – not how I was before, but better than ever.
This is where my concept of Transcendent Health was born, and how I uncovered the 4 tiers of nourishment that are essential to looking and feeling your absolute best – the very things that gave me my life back and even brought me back from the brink of death itself.
When it comes to actually living from a place of Transcendent Health – that state of consistent, reliable, and delicious energy, vitality, beauty and confidence – the second tier of nourishment that begs to be addressed is what I like to call Life Nourishment.
Think about how your health can be affected if your finances are in the toilet, or your professional life is pulling you in 100 different directions, or you’ve had a falling out with a loved one and things have been left unresolved for far too long.
Things like this contribute to an atmosphere of stress and strain that has an inevitable, and often negative impact on your overall energy, vitality, and radiance. In the long run, focusing purely on your physical health and nourishment isn’t going to make up for the worry, anxiety, fear or hopelessness that you might be experiencing in the different areas of your life.
Instead, you have to address and nourish that life area directly. Life Nourishment is an essential component of your overall well-being.
Perhaps you know of a woman whose health dramatically improved once she left a bad relationship or changed career tracks.
Or maybe you’re familiar with how much your energy and vitality started to skyrocket once you started setting better boundaries, or surrounded yourself with reliable, positive, unconditional support.
It’s possible you’ve realized that you look and feel your best when you devote yourself to your yoga practice or spiritual path, take up painting, or start exploring your sexuality in new ways.
Maybe you’ve even effortlessly dropped a dress size when you decided to organize and clutter clear your home.
Your health is as beautifully complex and multi-faceted as you are. As such, you have to address your health from many different angles, and consider that the health of your multi-dimensional life affects the rest of you, too.
Is there a particular area of your life that is creating a lot of chaos, confusion or stress for you?
Do you ever think about what your life would be like if that tension and difficulty subsided, or ended all together?
How much do you think your health and your appearance would improve if that burden and pressure wasn’t there anymore?
All of these questions are something to consider, especially if looking and feeling good are a priority for you. You and your life can look and feel as good as you will allow them to. And nourishing your life can help you see this truth right away.
With love and Transcendent Health,
Alicia
