Since we changed our clocks here in the US, and the days are shorter, I’ve been feeling a seasonal pull to start to turn inward. I’ve started to reflect on what this year was about for me, all that’s been accomplished and enjoyed, and I’m even making plans to celebrate a bit, too.
It’s been a miraculous year in so many ways, and I feel so proud to be where I am in my life right now. It feels important to set aside some specific time to really receive everything that’s happened this year, and to celebrate the experiences I had all along the way.
The urge to journal more, and to start wrapping up 2016 with a pretty bow has been on my mind. When I feel complete with one year, it’s always easier to start planning the next one. And I have every intention of enjoying 2017 to the fullest!
So as the last of the leaves are falling to the ground here in Colorado, I’m slowly letting go of 2016, too. I plan to create my annual “gratitude list” – in a slightly different way this year than I’ve done it in the past – and to clarify my visions for an incredible and intoxicating 2017.
I think, more than anything, it feels good to take the time to really appreciate and plan my life like this. I used to just fly by the seat of my pants and tell myself that wherever I ended up was just meant to be. I didn’t realize then that I could choose what I wanted for myself. I love that I now know that I’m a powerful creator, and that I act accordingly as often as I know how.
In these final weeks of 2016, I intend to bring conscious appreciation, awareness and desire to how I close this year. I intend to clarify my dreams and vision for 2017 and to allow inspiration and magic to weave into everything I plan. I intend for deep peace, divine health and complete well-being to surround and fill me. I intend for breathtaking pleasure and enjoyment, to open my heart even wider and deeper than ever before, and to remember that I always have a choice in how I respond to any situation, in who I am being in any given moment, and in what and how much I allow myself to receive. I intend to choose the things that light me up on the inside and bring me joy, pleasure, fulfillment and love.
This or something even better for the highest good of all concerned. And so it is!
