I’ve invested heavily in high-level support of all kinds – business, personal, sexual and spiritual. If you had asked me 10 years ago if I would ever invest in myself this way, I would have fallen over laughing. Back then I didn’t see the value in high-level support like I do today.
What do I mean when I say high-level support? I’m talking about working with a coach, mentor, teacher, counselor or guide at a high investment price point. The high-investment is actually a key component to this. Why? Because money is a form of exchange – an energetic exchange of value for value – that demonstrates a level of commitment and dedication to what you’ve set out to receive.
When you invest in yourself at a high-price point, it’s an indication that you’re signing up with a higher level of commitment. Whatever it is, it’s important to you – very important – so much so that you’re willing to make a statement to the Universe about how important it is through the energetic and financial investment that you are making.
Even more important, and something that’s often over looked, is the impact that this kind of investment has on you. Think about what would need to happen inside of you to invest in a $3,000 program for yourself. It’s a significant investment, and it’s going to require more from you – physically, emotionally, mentally, financially, spiritually… – than if you didn’t invest.
But then consider what would need to be true for you to invest in a $30,000 program for yourself. The difference between the two is notable. Yes, you may need to get creative financially to pull something like this off, but aside from that, think about the statement of self-worth that you’re making to yourself and to the Universe. This is where things get truly interesting!
I have a very dear friend who invested $100,000 in herself for one year of world-class mentoring, support and accountability. To this day she says it was hands down the best money she’s ever spent. She was transformed from the inside out in the process – and that all happened that year – in addition to the coaching she received!
When it comes to high-level support, there are usually several other pieces that enhance, support and fortify your commitment to your goals and dreams. Accountability is a huge part of this – to yourself, to your teacher, mentor or coach, and to your dreams. And with that comes the invaluable support and guidance that you receive. If you’ve signed up with someone it’s because they have or know something that you also want to have or know.
Then, in many high-level investments, there is often a group that you become a part of. Immediately you start interacting with other women who are also investing in themselves and playing a bigger game. As a result, two things happen. The first is that you’ve made it nearly impossible for you to not feel inspired and motivated to keep going. And second, you’ve made it very difficult for yourself to run and hide – which is always a good thing when your dreams are at stake!
There’s so much that makes high-level support one of the most incredible and powerful investments that you can make in yourself.
But very few women do.
It’s easy to talk yourself out of doing something like this. In fact, when opportunities like these arise, that very rational, logical, “I know what’s best for you” inner voice loves to come in and take over. It can feel truly terrifying to listen to the soft whispers inside of yourself that are telling you how important this step is.
The night before I signed up for a $20,000 coaching program – the largest investment that I’d made in myself at that point in time – I was a mess! My mind was ping-pong-ing off the walls, all of my fears were activated, I couldn’t believe I was seriously considering that program, and I actually felt a bit sick to my stomach.
Simultaneously, there was a very soft voice inside of my heart that was very steady and clear in her knowing that this was exactly what I needed to do. It was more than a want. It was a need. I filled out the application form, and before I turned off the light to go to sleep that night I asked for a sign – a dream, a clear message, something that was going to validate my inner knowing.
Seconds before my alarm went off the following morning, I heard a clear and commanding voice say to me, “It’s time to RISE.” In that moment, I sat straight up in bed. I knew this was the sign I had been asking for. It was time for me to RISE, and start living the amazing life I knew I was meant to live.
So many women think that they don’t have to do much to have the life that they want. I hear some women say, “Well, if it’s meant to be it will be” or “If it’s not easy then it’s not meant to be”. But this just isn’t true! Your dreams and desires require your commitment and dedication. They require time, money, energy, investment and space.
You’re not going to become your dream self by praying and wishing for it. And your dream life isn’t going to magically manifest because you’ve created a vision board or prayed to every angel and saint that you know. You must take action on your own behalf.
Even signing up for a program – at a high investment or not – is no guarantee that your dreams are going to magically come true. You can’t take yourself out of the equation and believe that a program is going to do everything for you.
You have to commit to and live the things that you desire.
My $20,000 investment in myself was almost 4 years ago, and it deeply changed me. I learned so much about what I value most, and what I need to surround myself with in order to thrive. I realized that making this kind of investment in myself on a regular basis is one of the most powerful ways to ensure that I am playing at the top of my game – where I belong.
I prefer to spend time in circles of women who are playing at this level, who know their worth, and who keep pushing the envelope of what’s possible for themselves and their lives. I learn so much from women who are taking steps to constantly grow and take responsibility for how good their lives look and feel. The sisterhood, the sheer inspiration, and the support have been an essential part of my own success.
I speak with women on a regular basis who say they want to experience BIG shifts in their lives, but when it comes to investing in themselves and receiving a truly high-level of support, they refuse. They believe they should or have to do it on their own. These are also the women who continue to talk about what they want without ever taking the steps they need to take to get there.
Wishing and hoping that your dream life is going to happen is a recipe for disappointment. If you’re truly serious about living the life that you truly desire, and experiencing a level of joy, fulfillment and deep sustainable pleasure, then don’t wait for it to magically appear on your doorstep.
Don’t wait for the knowledge that you need to be downloaded to you in a moment of divine inspiration.
Find a mentor that inspires you because she is living the kind of life that you desire for yourself. Invest in high-level support that is going to hold you to an altogether new level and standard that you might not yet be able to hold for yourself. Let the whispers of your heart guide you to the uncompromising truth that you’ve been seeking.
Only you can do this for you. Now is your time. Are you ready to begin?
