Now that I have a “little one” who is so excited and enchanted by all things new, it’s more important to me than ever to create a magical holiday experience in our home for all of us to enjoy.
My husband decorated the exterior of our home with Christmas lights (well done, hubs!), and now I’m transforming the interior into a sparkly, high-vibrational, peace-inducing palace of love. 😉 This is no small feat, as we’ve decided not to put up a Christmas tree this year (images of Ocean yanking on the ornaments and toppling the tree over on top of himself have had a little something to do with this decision…). So we’re being even more creative than usual!
We’ve started playing some Christmas music in the mornings during breakfast, and in the evenings before bedtime. I’ve pulled out my favorite holiday recipes and am experimenting with some new ingredients and ideas, too. We’re even lighting candles at night during dinnertime – I love candlelight – which also adds a certain feeling of “holiday magic” to our meals, too.
This weekend I’ll be putting my dining table centerpiece out – the one with the candles, the sparkly white lights, and all of those fragrant evergreen branches – and I know that will truly transform things, too.
How do you set the scene for your beautiful and luxurious holidays?
