I was in Savannah, Georgia during the last week of July. During my visit I gained an entirely new appreciation for air conditioning and a new understanding of the term “hot weather”. But outside temperatures aside, I had a really amazing time.
Savannah is so charming and filled with history and mystique. If you want to get a little taste of the area, I highly recommend reading “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” by John Berendt. I enjoyed my visit so much, I hope to return someday soon.
What were my favorite experiences? The Savannah Bee Company was a revelation in bee wisdom, and the Savannah trolley tour was a lot of fun (as far as tourist activities go). Next time I’m there I hope to do one of the midnight ghost tours of Savannah. The convertible hearse tour looked like a lot of fun!
