I recently traveled to North Caroline for a business training and retreat. To be honest, I’m in “slow-down” mode right now – it’s just where I’m at in the grand cycle of things – so it was definitely a change in both scenery and routine for me to get on an airplane and travel to the east coast for a few days!
Something quite amazing happened to me during this trip – both while I traveled to and from NC, and while I was at the business training and retreat, too.
From the time I boarded the plane headed for NC, to the time I landed back in Denver, I repeatedly received compliments about how beautiful, vibrant and radiant I looked. It happened so frequently, that I knew it wasn’t just a “fluke” or something someone said one time “just to be nice”.
The message I kept receiving from multiple sources was that I looked radiant and full of life. I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful this felt to receive!
Here’s the thing – my life isn’t perfect. In fact, a lot of things are reorganizing and recalibrating in my world right now and sometimes things get super chaotic and MESSY! And as I said, I’m in “slow-down” mode. I’m not trying to hustle or make things happen. In fact I’m in much more of an internal, receptive, restorative place than anything else.
But I have made a choice in my life.
Looking and feeling good are non-negotiable for me. I know that my well-being – on every level – is important. I’m clear that in order to be the kind of woman, mother, business owner, friend and lover that I desire to be, I must prioritize looking and feeling good. End of story.
To receive this kind of feedback from multiple sources – without even trying – was truly heart-warming. AND it showed me something not only about myself but also about what is possible for every woman if she chooses to make looking and feeling good a priority.
For a lot of women, particularly if you’re juggling work and home life, the idea of looking and feeling your best might feel like a great idea, but also like it’s something for someone else. For some reason (and there are many very good reasons, aren’t there?) looking and feeling good isn’t possible for them.
(And just to be super clear here, I’m not talking about looking and feeling like a super model or a professional athlete or putting on a persona or act that is far from who you really are. I’m talking about letting your external beauty and inner vitality reflect the truth of who you really are out into the world.)
But, I’m here to tell you that looking and feeling good is not only possible, it’s a very real REQUIREMENT for you to be able to have all of the things that you want in life.
There are very real, foundational practices you can use to get to this place – nothing earth shattering or life-disrupting. They are simple and practical things that you can easily incorporate into your daily life – things that will get you the results you want, and leave you feeling lighter, brighter, and ready to live the life you desire.
Looking and feeling your best IS possible. And you can start taking steps towards this for yourself today because your best self is waiting for you right now.
With love and Transcendent Health,
Alicia
