As I write this to you, I’m looking out my office windows, and I’m feeling inspired by the changing colors of the leaves on the trees. I’m looking around my office and my home and I feel a swell of appreciation in my chest. I’m admiring the vase of fresh flowers on my desk and I’m giggling slightly at how all of this abundant beauty makes me feel.

I always feel so fueled and uplifted by the beauty in my life, and how natural it feels for me to bring it into every nook and cranny of my world – especially because this hasn’t always been true for me.

Like many women, I used to have a push-pull relationship with beauty. On one hand, I loved it! I always wanted it in my life, and felt naturally drawn to it – even as a very little girl.

And on the other hand, I felt guilty for desiring it like I did. It felt somehow wrong, taboo, selfish, and inconsequential compared to the woes of the world. I simultaneously craved it and pushed it away, until…

… I realized what an incredible gift beauty really is.

When I started recognizing beauty for what it really is, for what it actually represents, and how it always enhances and elevates me – without fail! – I started to question all of the ways I’d been relating to beauty from a place of denial, guilt and shame.

And when I began inviting beauty into every area of my life – not just my physical beauty, but my relationships, my finances, my professional life and more – everything began to shift for me in the most unexpected, magical and incredible ways.
