Sometimes life is just hard. Sometimes life brings us truckload after truckload of lemons – just too damn many to squeeze and make lemonade out of.
It’s okay. You don’t have to be strong and brilliant, positive and inspiring, put together and on top of everything all of the time.
You get to be you – glorious, messy, heartfelt, authentic, beautiful, fierce – YOU.
Being fully yourself means you will have times when things just feel… sucky. They feel overwhelming and you just want to crawl into your closet and eat chocolate.
I say DO IT. Feel it all. Let yourself break open, cry, rage, and be fully YOU here too.
And when you’re ready – maybe instead of reaching for that pint of ice cream that’s beckoning you – reach for something that can really comfort you from the inside out.
I’ve gathered a few of my most popular blog posts so that you have something to reach for when life goes belly up, your inner critic is having her way with you, or you feel like you’re in a washing machine of emotions and are just trying to find which way is up (or all three at the same time, because, you know… 2020…).
Sometimes the right words at the right time can be the soothing balm our hearts need.
When you feel self-conscious about yourself, you’re asking, ‘what’s wrong with me’, or you’re trying so hard to just be like everyone else…

I hope my writing provides you some comfort, encouragement, and inspiration too. Please share this with friends and loved ones when they’re struggling – it’s amazing how supported we can feel when someone offers something – anything – to let us know they’re thinking of us.
We can also connect in my free, private online community here. It’s a sacred space where you can get inspired and receive so many tools for times like these… a respite from the stormy-ness of the world today.
Thank you for being here, for being a part of this community.
Lots of love,
Alicia
